Art is visual poetry, a narrative from the soul.
Computer Art & illustration
While studying graphic design and illustration at Leicester Polytechnic, I found myself drawn to the imaginative worlds of fantasy artists such as Jim Burns and Rodney Matthews. Their visionary concepts captured my attention and left a lasting impression on my creative approach.
Today, computer software is rapidly narrowing the gap between traditional artistic methods and what artists and illustrators have been achieving by hand for decades.
I work with a range of industry-standard 2D and 3D software, including Poser, Strata, Painter and, of course Adobe CC for graphic design and layout, alongside other creative tools.
Using these, I create characters, scenes and environments for a variety of purposes. I have also completed commissioned work that has gone on to be exhibited. As with all art, each piece begins with an idea that is developed , sketched and ultimately brought together through digital art software. I have not used AI in creating these pieces or used AI as a prompt. All pieces on show have been developed two decades ago.
